Monday, February 23rd, is the first day of advance voting for the Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST).  Let’s get out and vote and bring friends.  The sole poll location for early voting is the Citizen’s Service Center (CSS, 3111 Citizens Way) with the poll open from 7 AM until 7 PM Monday through Friday until March 13th.  Both Saturdays during the early voting period (February 28 and March 7) will be open from 9 AM until 4 PM.  Election day is March 17th at your usual poll location.

Also, the Yes! For Kids office (1820 Midtown Drive) will have an open house from 5 PM until 8 PM Monday, February 23rd and you are invited.  There will be sandwiches and beverages, signs, literature and supporters including Mayor Tomlinson.  Please, if you are able, cast your vote at the CSS and then drop by and challenge the rest of our visitors to do the same.

We have the most diverse group of supporters on our side because making sure Muscogee County has a premier school system is in the best interests of students, parents, our work force, our business district and the rest of our city.  Let’s talk to everyone we know about the importance of the SPLOST and make sure it is renewed so that we are able to get to work and produce the finest education system possible.  I hope to see you at the polls.

Take care, vote and pass it on.
